A brief discussion on the daily maintenance and care of scraper
Mud scrapers have become a common piece of mining machinery, but many operators lack understanding and attention to routine maintenance and upkeep during use, resulting in reduced efficiency and significantly shortening their service life. a professional developer and manufacturer of small mud scrapers and mining machinery, would like to introduce several essential elements of daily maintenance and upkeep for wheeled mud scrapers:
1. Before using the mud scraper, the hydraulic oil tank must be filled to at least four-fifths full. The hydraulic oil should be replaced after the first 100 hours of operation, and the second replacement should not exceed 450 hours. Thereafter, the hydraulic oil should be replaced at least annually. The hydraulic oil filter should also be replaced to ensure the cleanliness of the oil tank.
2. Maintain the integrity and cleanliness of the mud scraper. Regularly check all bolts, nuts, and screws on the mud scraper and tighten any loose parts promptly. 3. Grease the grease fittings of all moving parts twice daily until the grease overflows from the gaps. Lubricate all lubricating parts, such as connecting shafts, rotating shafts, and bearings, with lubricating oil or calcium-based grease every three days to ensure lubrication and prevent oxidation.
4. Regularly inspect all oil pipes for bends, twists, or even damage. Replace any damage immediately to prevent it from affecting the smooth flow of the pipes and potentially malfunctioning the machine. Inspect the seals of all hydraulic components for damage and deformation that could affect their sealing effectiveness. If any damage is found, replace them promptly.
5. Before starting the machine, inspect cables, sockets, and plugs for damage. Also, inspect electrical components such as circuit breakers, contactors, buttons, indicator lights, and universal transfer switches, as well as their connections, for burnout or looseness. Repair and replace them promptly. Only after all components and equipment have been inspected and are in good working order can the machine be powered on and operated.
6. When the scraper is operating, do not force material that exceeds the machine's conveying capacity onto the conveyor belt to avoid mechanical overload and malfunction. Electrical equipment should not be exposed to water during operation to prevent electrical leakage. Any hard objects stuck in the track links should be promptly removed to prevent damage to the tracks.
7. After the scraper is finished operating, clean the machine and apply waste oil to the tracks and scraper chain to prevent oxidation and extend their service life.
8. After six months of use, inspect the rollers, idlers, sprockets, track links, and track shoes. If severely worn, they should be replaced promptly. Worn bucket teeth should not be used anymore and should be replaced promptly to prevent damage to the tooth holder.
